Just a guess, but i suspect the updtes on sunday are the reslt of automatic computer updates or they have data processors working off hours.

Those touches could be approvals. I don't want to get your hopes up because touches are unpredictable and can mean lots of things. But a common pattern is two touches then the approval if you are at the approx processing time (approx 3 months for CSC). You may be the email updat e today. Also just my personal experience. My K-1 was touched twice, everyone who was filing at the same time as me (same NOA1) started getting approvals. I heard nothing. I called and they told me I was approved and for some reason the case was not updated and the NOA2 was not mailed. HOWEVER, they resent the NOA2 and it came the same day NVC told me my etition was already on the way to CASA. So it did not slow me down.

Hang in there you are close! and once the NOA2 comes, you start to move very quickly!

My weekend (Saturday) touch was my petition getting mailed to NVC. I even got a touch on the 4th of July! Now we are at the embassy and our online status stills says pending....

Daniel

Did you recieve your NOA2 by mail? if not call them, you will need it for AOS.

You can't call your service center - the only number available to us is the customer (mis)information line, which chasnik has called several times, as well as a rep from the congressperson's office.

I believe the last 'information' from the (mis)information line was that the case was with an officer - must be true from all the touches! - and they should hear something soon.

And yes, people here have gotten touches on weekends before.

I have actually as tracytn stated talked to someone and they told me that my case was with an agent now...after seeing all of the touches I called back and got an extremly rude woman who told me I couldnt call again for 30 days. I was unaware of this law but I dont want to screw anything up.

She told you that you can't phone again for 30 days? Since when is that a 'law'? I assume you weren't calling them an exorbitant amount of times - so I think that woman was talking out her #######.

I'd give it this week (because of all the recent touches) but then I'd have my congressperson put in an official inquiry on your behalf, as you are now past CSCs posted timeline.

Here is the little white lie i sued to get an answer from CSC. I had read on VJ that if you use the prompts for info on an RFE, you will get someone at the service center rather than the operator bank. when the RFE operator answered I said I was a bit confused because the online system showed a RFE was coming, but now it read case pending as normal.

She double checked everything and told me no there was no RFE, but I was approved and it was never flagged to be mailed out.

I had to call abotu a real RFE for EAD and AP applications. The first time I got a fool who told me she would not talk to me because I had to ask a lawyer my questions. It jsut didnt sound right so I redailed and explained mysefl a little more clearer and got good answers.

Hi Chasnik.. I've been logging here several times back but had stopped and decided to take a break. I read your post and decided to post. If you look at my timeline at the bottom of my post you'll see that I have been touched several days in a row. Unfortunately, after the last date I haven't got any touches, no RFEs, and no approval email or mail yet. I am already in my 101st day from getting my NOA1. When did you get yours? Wish you luck my friend and God bless.

Chasnik, I truly understand how you feel and your situation. I believe you should have gotten your NOA2 already a long time ago. You've been waiting for 6 months and still no NOA2 and this actually shows that some of us here are not guaranteed the 3 month estimated approval. It's just one of the mysteries of USCIS. I wish you luck my friend and all of us that should have NOA2s already, but don't have them yet.

Thanks, toying with the idea of calling and using the rfe, but just not sure after being told not to call for 30 days. I may wait till Monday of next week then if I havent heard anything call. Good luck on your NOA2!
