Travel and work while filing for citizenship

Hello all!

I was wondering whether anyone has information about travel and work while filing for citizenship, please.  That is to say, once we file for citizenship, will the LPR be allowed to travel abroad (say, for a two week trip) before citizenship is approved, and will the LPR be able to continue to work?

Thank you in advance for any guidance,

Julie

Lifting Conditions

CIS Office : Nebraska Service Center

Date Filed : 2007-04-16

NOA Date : 2007-04-19

Bio. Appt. : 2007-05-25

RFE(s) : 2008-04-12

Were transferred from Nebraska to California Service Center in April 2008 (after a year of nothing) and received RFE a couple weeks after that. Original submission was immaculate and extensive, so RFE baffles the mind!

Yes, you can travel overseas as long as you have your unexpired green card or I-90 with I-551 stamp in passport.

Yes, you can continue working (and change jobs) as long as you have unrestricted Social Security Card and valid state ID/DL.

You can travel domestically with valid state ID/DL.
