My wife and I have run into an issue regarding the scheduling of the medical exam.  I was hoping someone could provide some guidance.  Last Friday, 13 January, 2023, we received the letter scheduling the interview for my wife’s CR-1 visa for February 2, 2023.  The interview will take place in Yerevan, Armenia, and my wife is Russian and lives in Moscow. I’ve been trying to schedule the medical exam for my wife,  but given such a short notice on the interview, the soonest that either of the two panel physicians can see her is February 3.  I went ahead and requested an medical exam appointment for my wife on this date.

In regard to the approval and issuance of the visa, will there be any significant problems with scheduling the medical exam after the visa interview, or should we go ahead and just reschedule the interview?

Do not reschedule the interview.  After the interview, her case will be placed on hold until the medical exam is done and sent to the consulate.

Just wondering, if you have been explicitly told that the medical must be done in Yerevan (I'm guessing you are talking about doing a medical in Armenia...)? My wife called the IOM office in Moscow last week and they said they have walk-in availability at that time...
