Hi , @pushbrk maybe you can help me, I’m the petitioner for my husband and just got 3 refs. 1 that had the same message. Saying to add a joint sponsor , the 2nd said my sponsor should submit proof of income , third was that I , as the petitioner need to prove my domicile . A bit confused because my sister is the sponsor and her and her husband filed joint returns and their income is way over the property limit. I didn’t get a DQ but everything now shows as accepted , so I’m conflicted. Can someone help plz

Please ask your own question in your own topic, and provide more details.  (3 refs)???

new to this site, got a bit confused. So, yes i have 3 RFE emails from them now, even though every single document says "acceptd"

1st Proof of Domicile -  might not have a principal residence or be domiciled in the United States. Please submit proof of domicile. For more information on domicile requirements, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.

2nd Please submitjoint sponsor's Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.

3rd:  This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

our joint sponsor is my sister who is married, her and her husband filed taxes together, and their yearly income is a pretty good amount, not sure if they're looking at hrs seperatley . So I dont even know if I should add another joint sponsor. someone else said it might be a glitch, and if everything is showing acceptd then I'll get a DQ email?

any advice would be amazing.

What was filed (form(s) and supporting documentation) for the joint sponsor?  Messages 2 and 3 are in conflict with each other.  Need more information.

I initially just uploaded my joint sponsor’s tax returns (her and her husband filed together. Not sure if that’s an issue ? ) after that I got my first RFE asking for the sponsors w9 or 1099 , I also uploaded those. They accepted everything I’ve uploaded , and I still got those messages asking for “proof of income “ . I can add another joint sponsor , and wait it out I guess . In addition to that , I can also upload pay stubs from my first joint sponsor , that’s considered proof of income right ?

Is your joint sponsor self employed or employed.

She’s employed currently , she was employed for a few months during 2021 after covid, before that she received unemployment , I’ve uploaded her unemployment paper 1099 , also a w9. Do you think it’ll be easier if I just add another joint sponsor ?

Proof of current income needed - you provided w-2 and taxes - proof of prior income. Several leave and earnings statements, letter from current employer is what they're looking for.

One current pay stub for a full pay period will do nicely.  If it is the year end stub it's definitely enough.  If not, add the year end stub.

1099s, W2's and tax returns are about the past.  Pay stubs are the evidence of current income.

You can have only one joint sponsor. You can replace them, but not add one.

2 last questions and I promise you’ll be done with me . I would just upload those under the additional documentations correct ? Since everything is showing as accepted. Also  for my proof of domicile , will gas / electric bills, bank statement , and driver license renewal be enough ?

Assuming you have actually returned to the USA, sure.

I haven’t , I’ve been living abroad with my husband for the past 3 years , but I still have my apartment in the US , my mom lives in it. I do pay the bills , and I also still have my bank account.

Yes, probably enough.

hey guys, question... So my RFE was for my sponsor , basically , our joint sponsor is my sister, and she didn't work much in 2021, her and her husband filed jointly, and the joint income is way over the poverty line. Hers alone is not. BUT, her 2022 income is. So i went ahead and submitted her paystubs for 2022 along with an employee verification letter. would they consider her 2022 income if its sufficient? has anyone else gone through this?

They are looking for her current income and supporting evidence.
