Wow, this site and forum rocks :) It's already answered so many of our questions so far, and I'm sure it'll help loads as we continue!

Anyway, brief history of us: she came here for college on scholarship, where we met, and became engaged. She had to go back for 3 years after graduation, due to government work stipulations in her scholarship. She visits at least every 6 months...could be worse! We recently bought a house, so we've been swimming in paperwork for that as well :P

Our as-yet-brief timeline: gathering stuff for our I-129F petition filing. Trying to get in before the fee increase on July 30th!

She's from Trinidad, and we're going to be living in Texas. Not much Trini representation on these forums, it seems - hopefully the line for the embassy interview will be short as well ^^

Well, any tips for us newcomers? :)

08/17/07: Received NOA1

12/31/07: Received NOA2

1/7/08: NVC sent paperwork to the embassy

3/12/08: Visa interview (Approved!)

3/21/08: Arrival in the US (via Houston)

5/31/08: Wedding!

AOS:

06/10/08: Sent AOS packet

06/18/08: Received NOA

07/12/08: Biometrics

07/31/08: AOS case transferred to California

08/28/08: Received EAD card

09/15/08: Card production ordered

09/18/08: Approval notice sent

09/19/08: Green card received!

Make sure you read the guides before you start anything, they are awsome and have helped us SO MUCH. Also, if you have a question, don't be afraid to ask. There are alot of very nice people on this forum who are willing to help you in anyway they can. I hope you have a smooth and speedy process. Good luck! :thumbs:

My N-400 timeline, I hope it will help - Local Office (Chula Vista Field Office - San Diego)

10/01/2010: Application was sent.

10/04/2010: Application was received.

10/06/2010: Email received "Application has been received" & Noticed Date.

10/07/2010: "Touch"

10/08/2010: "Touch" & Check was Cashed

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

12/03/2010: "Yellow Letter" Received.

12/06/2010: "Touch" Case Moved to "Testing and Interview".

12/08/2010: Interview Letter received via mail.

01/13/2011: Interview Date. Done, " Thanks To ALLAH, I Passed the Test.

01/18/2011: Oath Letter was Sent.

01/20/2011: Oath Letter Recieved via mail.

01/28/2011: Oath Date. ==> Done, I am a U.S. Citizen
