I agree that numbers from this week so far are amazing and they're simply rolling through February! But at the same time I'm almost pleading USCIS to slow down a bit when it comes to moving to the next month and don't leave me behind! hahaha
Some few approvals from March already, but this is literally still the 3rd week of real activity for February 22 filers 😵

on the plus side, looking at spreadsheet it looks like nearly all cases until Jan have at least been touched and Jan like 86% touched so it doesn't seem too bad except the handful that are really really unlucky and I still can't comprehend how USCIS can do that

Yeah, I think that is why that 8k figure is really inflated. Some napkin math really quick, take out the ~1,500 ghost cases and ~500 RFEs that are not "active", and you're at 6k for March.

yeah the % done isn't great but it looks like ~20% are RFEs which bring touched+completed cases to high 90's up to Jan so I'm feeling a lil more optimistic.

Yeah, it honestly seems that very few people have to wait past the website estimate. Majority are getting approved in much less time now

lowers chance of us being 'left behind' but imagine knowing you are that 1% who are waiting 💀

It's weird, because it definitely seems like some people are straight up NOT responding to their RFE. Does it get lost in the mail? Do they not notice at all? Have they broken up? I'm curious as to what is going on with those

Yeah, I think they are "touching" the cases Approved, denied, or RFE and then moving on. If you don't get back to them... NEXT!

may be that they realise they don't have the proof in RFE (like meeting within 2yrs), given up, going a diff route, trying to obtain the evidence, delay in USCIS receiving??

Oh yeah, I wish they didn't do it this way but at this point, realistically, it's the only way to do it faster, otherwise they would still be at December or something and people would still complain. It's lose-lose. I hope you get approved soon!

Thank you. And definitely. Last year I was honestly thinking they would touched February only in May or June and they started it on March 21st, so I can't complain at all! Just bittersweet for those left behind with no explanation at all.

Is it because of the extended period to reply that USCIS just removed? Now it's 30 days. But I don't see why people would not reply if they indeed have evidence. Maybe it can also be a system delay, the case moved forward but the system was never updated? Honestly I find it weird as well.

And thank you. It's the anxiety talking! haha they haven't touched many cases from the last week of February yet so I still have time indeed.

I presume USCIS will be closed tomorrow for Good Friday?  Well if they can still hit 1K this week, I guess that's okay... 😆

It’s not considered a federal holiday in the US so I am wondering if they will still be open 🧐

Q1 is finally out! Not great but we expected that as the speed up was end jan/ early feb so even Q2 may be a little sad. I agree with Lynx's estimate based on Q1, new apps would have had a 21month+ wait. I calculated 22-24months when I filed end Oct and there was a speed up just after bringing my estimate *slightly* down. We'll see what the Q2 says but data nerds have generally agreed it's coming down to 13-14months in near future, 12-13months late 2022 filers. As usual, this is under assumption their process doesn't change.

(My VJ estimate is now latest, 1st jan 2024, almost in fully in 2023 🤞)
