What happened today? Usually Monday is the strongest day of the week but today's number are low across the board (Dec, Jan and Feb). Is there another snow storm or something else happening?

Now your making my head spin...

16.5months are the estimate for people who are getting their applications adjudicated *now* as it's theoretically approximately current processing time and usually a good estimate for anyone filing now too.

However, it's based on 6months of data but as we know numbers drastically improved in Jan and feb so it's not really a reflection of reality, some people are getting approvals at 13months but many are also still waiting 15-17 months. USCIS also has changed drastically through covid and even now so that number is usually pretty meaningless beyond being a rough guide of where they are with processing time.

Looking at numbers we have thanks to wonderful data collectors, we can see they *should* bring down average processing to 13-14months for mid-late 2022 filers. USCIS never predicts processing, they only give you what to expect based on PREVIOUS data.

there's been slow mondays before, try not to judge off a single day. Haven't seen any issues that we know of though

there's scanners for each month, not just the big spreadsheet. I see they're posted on their individual posts here (so go look at jan and feb for todays numbers per month) and prob on fb and such too

I don't want to be alarmist but Jan and Feb had only about 23 approval combined according to the data published by fellow members in respected group yesterday. That's why I thought there was something going on.

It could be an issue with their system. I only look at weekly numbers for this reason. Daily numbers really don't mean anything unless they're consistently down.

Lawfully tells me only 48 cases were completed yesterday but sometimes their number goes up throughout the day so can’t trust the morning ones. They also don't count withdrawals or rejections, just approvals, denials and terminations. I will wait for Obllak’s precise data to confirm. But to me it was a really bad day across all months, hoping it’s just a system delay or that they catch up during the week.

It could be a number of things, but it is just one day so no biggie imo. Also, we have to remember that in the US Government, Federal Employees have to do ALOT of mandatory trainings, seminars, and briefings WAY MORE than the average workplace, so this dip could be a number of things outside of a snow storm lol. Also let's not forget that the day after the snow storm they processed 350+ cases the next day.

Absolutely. The first thing that came to my mind was that they all had to go to a training or lecture and were probably all pissed off because they couldn't be productive that day (I usually am when I need to go to some useless meeting haha). Wish we had a double agent to come here and tell us what's going on there! Hoping today's number proves to us yesterday was just an anomaly.

According to the chart, there was a storm there yesterday which looks like it affected the numbers. Praying everyone there is safe.

Oh wow, I didn't think of searching for anything happening in SoCal. Makes sense people stayed home and safe. The warning remains in effect so it might reflect on today's numbers too.
