It’s not as good as it has been BUT they are still processing more cases than they once were. I was bummed about the numbers earlier today, too, but another member reminded me that they are still processing cases at a better rate overall. I think it’s inevitable that the numbers will vary week to week, but the overall picture still looks promising.

Not great, but there are inevitably going to be ebbs and flows – we know next week will probably be lower, too, but based on the Monthly tab on the spreadsheet, even a slow week next week will put February on a par with January for cases processed. And February's a shorter month! I'm still cautiously optimistic about the overall trends, despite the slight lag this week.

There was superbowl, vday and maybe people taking Friday off for long weekend. Wouldn't read too much into them being down 100 on a week like this. Still been a great month

I noticed some filers were bypassed or skipped. I wonder if uscis pick and choose a clean application to process first, like no previous marriage or no police record or such.. just wondering.

I think each person gets a case load, you'll see the monthly spread is about even and RFE rate stays fairly consistent, you'd expect more at end of a month if they left complicated cases. I think it's purely luck of draw, last 20% is always slower.

They start a new month at about 50% and such focus at 80% Think it's purely for their own numbers, last 20% of people are just unlucky.

In that case I’m out of luck then. I’m the last part of march filer, belong to last 20% of the group.

That's not how it works. They look at all dates about equally so you'll usually see last days of the month getting approvals at about the same rate as people at the start of the month because they don't go in order. Last 20% will be spread across the month. Everyone would file start of month if it meant they got guaranteed fast approval

I mean as bad as it all seems as of now, the numbers are increasing and I am assuming that everyone will get approved most likely at the given 15.5 months..so even if the last 20% are being a bit slower, they would still be within the 15.5 months and I think that alone is massive, ngl, I almost expected around 18 months, but seeing the're currently on december, and probably done with 50% of december by mid march hopeful~ 😄

They have already hit around 30% of cases processed for December 2021, so they are more than on track for that. 🙂

That's even great news, at this point the 50% will be hit by beginning or first week of march :P so if they keep this up, the month everyone filled - eta around 2-3 months after so october prolly late december~ / beginning of january / what a nice christmas present it would be!

I do wonder they had some cases left for october - November - when they're done, will those who work on those cases move maybe already to january/feburary? I wonder :0 !

They continue working on them, it's just slower cause you're getting less than 10 approvals/rfes a day at that point. July, Aug and Sept are all about 8-15 approvals etc a day v the 100 in dec

Ahh makes sense makes sense! Thank you! :3

They did but last 20% is lower priority I guess. They quote processing time as 'we process 80% of cases in x time' so as long as they're getting 80% done fast, last 20% is kinda expendable sadly. It's really unfair but that's the way they're working to tackle processing time 😭
