It's hard to say when we'll see that number move, but it's definitely a move in the right direction

It seems like they're keeping the focus about 14 months back, which is exciting for some because those cases get done sooner, but you see others still waiting about 19 months. So the average comes out looking better, but really sucks for those left behind.

It's because so many people are getting hit with RFEs. I'm starting to see 1 in 3, 1 in 4 incidence rate.

Remember, RFE stops the clock for USCIS.

They are delayed up to a month and a half past the quarter end. I think Q1 2023 should be out within the next 2 weeks.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info

At this rate, will we see the 15.5 month decrease soon?

I think USCIS focus is not on K1s / I-129Fs right now. They have been pushing really hard cases already further down the line.

As a matter of fact, they have just launched a new section on their site: a dashboard of how many residents are eligible for naturalization.

It's as if everything is thrown to support those who can gain citizenship by November 2024.

At the expense of those who won't get there in time.

Proof?

This isn't new. RFEs have been this high before too.

They are processing 1,000 cases a week vs. previously 400 cases without caring about I129F?? Make it make sense.

Do you know if they process cases on Saturday?

I believe we only see RFEs on Sat and usually a small number (like 10ish)

I would 100% agree K1's aren't their priority, employment, students and refugees are but yh i wouldn't say they don't care, they obv do else we'd be left to rot

I mean they obviously care enough because in the past this used to be like 6 months at most and even 3-4. Take a look at sibling visas. Now THAT is a wait.

I don't mean to be negative, just because they have priorities elsewhere doesn't mean they aren't putting a lot of effort into improving K1's etc is all I was trying to say. My point was if we didnt' matter, there'd be no improvements and there's been significant improvement!

Although at least it exists. My aunt is in a terrible situation and we can't get her out cause UK doesn't have sibling sponsorship. Even with 15-20yrs, we'd have her out now-ish

Noooo I wasn’t talking about you! I was referring to the other user lol. You are always very optimistic and positive and then the other user comes along and completely brings negative energy. Sorry if it came off that I was directing it towards you!
