If anything like me a lot of internal screaming 😂

Uk is very strict on licences, I can do everything but reverse park so keep failing and covid backlogs so I'm just gonna take lessons and get a license there as it's cheaper/easier. May be worth getting them a couple lessons just to get comfortable?

I would look up what country DLs are accepted by the US, because Mexican and Canadian citizens drive in the US daily, so I would be surprised if you couldn't drive in the US with an UK DL.

Are they residents of US though? Tourists can use their foreign licences but not residents (in Kansas). All it takes to be a resident there is having a local bank account for instance 💀

No not at all. My future mother-in-law and lots of her family drives in the US all the time with her own car on just a tourist visa and with Mexican plates.

The driving class is a good idea, thanks @Bh_sarah and @AndiB. I'm also going to teach her to drive a manual transmission, because that's what my car is. That will throw another factor into the mix. Luckily she already knows the concept of a clutch from riding a motorcycle though.

Oh she's way more advanced than me! I was so bad at motorcycle lessons I simply canceled the motorcycle category of my licence and got just the car one haha! I literally fell a thousand times. And manual may be tricky if she's used to automatic, but nothing that can't be learned if she is used to driving already. One of the reasons why I had a fear of driving here was the manual transmission. It would stress me out, I would get the wrong gear, the car would fail, people would start with the horn! haha automatic transmission was a blessing to me so that way I had one less stressor. But if she rides motorcycles and uses the clutches, I think she'll be just fine. But yes, classes for license holders (a even if you can find it, classes on a manual transmission) should help her ease in.

On an additional note, I feel you're already being a great support for her for trying to make her adaptation as easy as possible and taking care of every step. There's so much change involved, and sometimes things we can't even anticipate. Most of us Brazilians are great at adapting to situations, so having your help will make it all be even easier!

Absolutely.

The highest individual week on the chart from @Obllak is 1318, and I think we beat that this week.

More than likely!!! With the way USCIS has been processing cases so quickly, I also made an probability chart for when I might get my NOA2. If they keep processing 1,200-1,300/week then I am going to be a happy camper!

Does anyone know if they have started to clean up the older cases left behind?

im a March 11 filler - 61000 range and it’s not been touched properly for 2 weeks now, and over 100 cases left! It’s so weird! When only around 700 left for March ! So scared of getting left for months on end !
