I am wondering actually if USCIS has like cases that a similar to a case example a last number is different but the front might be the same that it got accidently put into the pile that was given to them, and they have to work on that, since it's their job, so whoever sorted might've effed up? I can see that being a possibility, besides that I'd go with expedite maybe that the system didn't yet fully register or smth... seems unlikely unless like u all said above are rng carried haha. Maybe I used all my rng with my gacha games 😆

Honestly there's a decent number of these super fast cases, every month has 30-40 approvals before they get to actual work on it. Even 6 cases filed in April have already been approved. I've always assumed it's some mix of emergencies or people with connections, but it's such a small number of cases that I haven't worried about them.

hey everyone I've been following this thread for awhile 😊 I just started polling May cases this weekend (I'm a May 2022 filer) and today I saw 4 approvals and 2 RFEs in the 2290077600-2290077800 range! I hope this indicates the start of May processing! I'm pretty sure they weren't expedited too. 😀 Honestly I'm a bit unsure if I'm doing this correctly lol so I'd appreciate if there's anyone else doing polling out there to verify.. or I'll just wait to see Obllaks update  😋

The timing is right for May to get started. Hope you can get a speedy approval.

That makes me wonder if that's why September October and other months are already 12%ish estimated done? Maybe Oballak can give more insight or someone else? Could it be besides obvious expedites that they do pull out random cases to like get a small number in the works for future months? o: Very curious!

This seems to come up as a question every few weeks 😂

Vast majority of processed cases before a month starts are withdrawals and rejections. The number that are approved before are minimal, 80 v 420ish. No idea how many of those are expedites, probably most of them.

I don't think we can attribute the 12% to "random approvals" at all.

Remember a month is usually about 4k so 77 wouldnt make 12%.

About 2% are approved before they start a month looking at May. Rest are withdrawal/rejection 😊

Makes me wonder how 8-10% of filers manage to get rejected immediately, it seems like the only ways to do so are to not pay the correct fee or to not sign the form..

I see quite a few who have the payment not go through on credit cards or don't realise you have to send payment with app etc so wouldn't be surprised. About 3% are withdrawals though. Probably going spousal or changed mind

That makes sense. I honestly didn't realize that trying to pay via credit card was an option. Since you have to mail in the form I figured you had to pay with paper cheques as well.

I think I told my fiance to pay by cheque purely to avoid the credit card issue 😂

I think some people have had the acc assume it was fraud and bounce it. No idea of details but yh. People also make silly mistakes all the time, not signing it I'm sure is not as uncommon as you'd expect.

Just saw someone on fb get rejected cause they didn't meet for 2yrs because they didn't want to risk covid and is asking how to appeal. I don't understand people 😫

That one is simultaneously more understandable and more heartbreaking to me. Imagine waiting over a year just to be told that your case was ineligible from the beginning...

Definitely but the requirements are really minimal and they should have known it was a risk. They could have met or waited till meet, they chose not to and apply anyway

It'd be like applying before you divorced...
