Anyone knows, whether similar statistics are available for I130 as well?

We are planning to do the data for I-130 after we launch the website for I-129F :)

I am assuming their min req probably is around 1200 per week from now on, doubt we will see a lot below that for a week unless it's a holiday or something happening, so that's nice! pretty much gurantees that most people will be approved who filled later than july within 13 months I assume. :) Good job USCIS u did it! Not 6 months but a little bit down, I honestly take it! :D

I’ve seen several people get approved today that were approved JUST shy of 13 months!! It’s insanely exciting to see approvals at 12.8 months!!

Trying not to get hopes up too much, but I am really really hoping for some Jan 2023 cases to be touched before the end of year 🙏

Going to spend the holidays with fiancee and (to be) in-laws and it'd be a nice Christmas gift to see someone from my month get NOA2s and give a good dose of hope to power through the 4-5 months of NOA2->interview waiting (hopefully NVC and Frankfurt consulate don't become bottlenecks)

.

I’m seeing admins on certain Facebook groups tell new filers it’s possible they won’t see an NOA2 for 19 months. I just don’t understand where they get this from.

It’s the same on Reddit. People seem to just not want to accept that things are improving. It’s odd frankly.

I don't really understand why. There is a lot of negativity in this community and from one side it's understandable because at some point you just become kind of bitter about the whole process. Additionally some people are not capable of being happy for someone else when they had an easier or quicker time getting approved.

Another thing I previously saw is a discussion about whether or not USCIS workers being sent to the border is going to slow things down for us. I'm not sure whether or not that is true, since those are asylum cases and should be handled by people different from family-related cases and so on?

We talked about it here before if u go back it's a while tho it won't affect the K1 process at all, those people moving over, have nothing to do with the K1 process staff so no worries~ :) And yeah FB and Reddit super toxic I try to stay away, tho the Sep/Oct filler chat is nice... everyone is hopeful we get all approved by like september/October :P  And they just want everyone to be fast approved haha

Yeah it's always weird to me. May be because lots of them saw their estimated dates go from 6 months to 14 months so to imagine the process has improved seems unlikely.  They may also be putting more weight on very late approvals which can happen due to being at end of a month's approvals + an rfe but majority seem to be 14-15 months so 19 is def a lil....

I still see so many people adament the process isn't improving because website still says 16.5 months and they think uscis is deliberately not speeding up 🙄

Very odd. I’ll never understand the negativity.

It’s also from the same group that is a K-1 group but continuously bashes said visa and always pushes CR1 🙄. The only reason I stay in the group is to see timelines of approvals if members. I ONLY come to VJ for actual information or refer to the amazing @Obllak‘s spreadsheet.

I agree that this process has definitely left a bad taste in some of the earlier filer’s mouths (especially those who are still waiting from late 2021and my heart really does go out to them), but to just be nasty and negative to newer filers giving them this outrageous timeline instead of literally looking at numbers improve is baffling to me. I try to (realistically) encourage people instead of trying to discourage them from even applying.

yh I also worry about people pushing cr1 because it'll take the same time. At the moment it about equal or k1 is faster and k1 will get faster.  cr1 def has a lot of advantages so I can see why it's recommended esp if there's only a couple months diff in approval but yh I feel it's a lil false advertising at this point.

I understand having the gut reaction of "why are these people so negative?!" but anyone who has filed after ~June 2022 is coming from a place of privilege, where we've mostly seen the processing rates increase & processing times decrease, and are likely to get approved within the window we expected. I honestly cannot imagine having started this process with the expectation of 8-9-10 months and then actually experiencing 14-15-16 months instead. They aren't being negative because they want to poop on everyone's parade, they believe they're being reasitic because it happened to them. What they would have given to not have those months of disappointment and frustration! I am empathetic to their lived experience and understand why they have the point of view they do.
