Looking at it, they had more done in the first week of May than they did in *all* of May last year. Damn what an improvement 😍

This is crazy! And the this is the first month where we will get to see how much USCIS crushes what they did last year. My question is how much do we think they beat May by compared to what they did last year?

Let's play a game Price is Right style: I will start the bidding at 3,948 is how many more cases they will process this May compared to last :) for a grand total of 5,258 for the month.

I just saw the sheet update with 80 cases XX , I am pretty sure it's a bug as well, no way considering I saw on FB quite a few approvals for march/april! If it's not I am fully expecting today like 400 cases or so haha. I am positive though with how the numbers are last few months, there is smth. going on! :) Also I do wonder sometimes, if people who work for USCIS check here :P ! Or even are aware of Oballaks sheet! 😆

It's all fun until they are on your month and seem to be approving all the applications around you.

Which is what seems to be happening to my case. It's disheartening.

Then seeing there are still 125 January cases waiting to be touched. I'm very worried

I get that. I'm 100% dreading waiting every day and seeing others getting theirs however even with a delay at this point, unless it's an extreme I should have an approval a lot earlier than I expected. When I filed we were looking at 22-24months until they got to oct 2022 filers, now it's 10-12 months so even if I wait an extra 6 months, it'll still be 4-6months sooner than best case at filling.

I know I'm going to lose it with stress and upset when my time comes unless I'm lucky but I'm trying to be grateful for it being sub 2yrs 🙏

I think early 2022 filers (and before) expected about this or better at filling so it's maybe not really an improvement, esp if they're in the last 20%

Just looked it up, Jan started getting approvals late Feb, so they're at a spread of about 2-3 months which is sadly completely normal. Even when k1 didn't have a backlog, wait times varied by 3-6 months. Sadly there'll always be some who get it 3 months or so earlier than others. It's a sad reality of visas.

I genuinely don't know why they can vary so much, hell even getting my passport renewed recently had a wait time of 1 week to 3 months.... God knows what governmental systems are

Yeah I think people who filed late 2022 knew very well how bad the situation was so everything looks like an improvement to us. On the other hand, those that had filed earlier expected a shorter waiting time so they got disappointed as time went on and the waiting times rose. Unrelated, but I think the 93% processed statistic which dictates when you can inquire about your case will go down by the end of the year, probably to something like 14 months or so. I can't see them having enough of a backlog at that point to justify keeping a small amount waiting 16.5 months or more.

That's where we are right now. I really fear being left behind.

I agree with this, when we did this process we expected around 1 year and a half up to 2 years...I think now that october is most likely be approved by october/november is just luck we could have not predicted before that actually late 2022 will be getting their noa2 in 13 months most likely, for the other cases earlier 2022 fillers, it must be tough, since they don't have anything guranteed right now and the recent trend does show people who filled after 22 have a higher chance to be waiting instead maybe 14 months 16 😕 ...It must be extremly tough seeing other months being approved before u, everyone understands, but see it that way, maybe 1 months more and then another 2-3 and you have most likely visa on hand and be with ur fiance/fiancee! :) Depends on your country I guess as well tho (speaking 2-3 months for Germany here so..) I think if people would've known later fillers get approved within a year and a month or 2 , everyone would have filled later haha :P I do wish for everyone to be approved soon though we all got this! It's like another 4-5 months until everyone's approvals and peope waiting maybe 1-2 more months!! We got this ❤️

This is perfectly put. It's all a matter of perspective to be fair. When we late 2021/early 2022 filers filed the petition, the waiting times were 6-8 months. Then we saw it go up to 10, 12, 14, 15.5 and 15.6 months, feeling hopeless. Then we started to have some hope with the data from Obllak and seeing real improvement and renewed our hopes once again... and then to get all happy they started your month before you were expecting only to be left behind and see people that filed 2-3 months after you getting approved hurts.

I always knew that things are not in order, but people from late April getting approved in less than 400 days frustrates me. It's not a pretty feeling at all. I always feared to be left behind in those 20%. I am now in the last 15% and I can't even complain too much knowing that there are people from December and January still waiting too.

It's also a matter of perspective when people say to us left behind that the "NVC waiting is even worse" (maybe to make us feel better). I can't attest to that because I am not on the NVC phase yet, but then these people can't attest to it either because they were approved in the peak of activity, they never had to see everyone passing them by and try to keep the hope every single day only to be let down at the end of it. It's been a rollercoaster and I just want to be done with this phase already.
