I think with the current speed and information we can most likely expect 12 months at most, i honestly don't see less than that. Example I am an october 2022 filler, I am assuming we probably get approved by November mid or End December, before that no way. If you think about it they will prolly start Feb here next week or a bit later, which is by then April, so they're behind 2 months to make it 12 months waiting time. They need a month where is not a lot going on, and they can do it quickly to make it so October gets an answer on October, November on November and so on.. So honestly 13 seems most realistic right now, since most people did get approved withhin 13 months, but 12 is cutting it tight, below that I kinda don't see it happening.

Even if they hired more staff, that staff has to be trained as well, and be shadowed over for around 6 months, so honestly the next update about the speed etc is probably going to be after may when we see more of an idea what the times look like, what I think...Of course I would LOVE to see a faster speed for everyone, but realistic speaking and looking at the amazing chart made, it is tough to hit under 12 months 😕

But USCIS is doing the right thing as of now, so let's hope they KEEP improving! :D

Keep in mind staffing is one factor. Resource allocation is another. The increase in K1 processing over the last month is mainly because USCIS has shifted resources from other visa's where backlog has been reduced and having them focus on I-130 and I-129 cases. Yes hiring increases help, but not the only factor. If USCIS chooses to focus on K1's, the wait time could go shorter. Overall case workload for K1's is a drop in the bucket compared to I130's.

I agree, and that's in line with the 25% improvement in the appropriations bill.

I agree. Looking at I-130s you can see USCIS definitely has the potential to crunch down the K1 backlog very very quickly. They only have to decide to put their focus on it for some time.
But of course it's easy to see how spouse visas might be considered more important than fiance visas.
On this portal there is an interesting interview with a former adjudicator and it sounds like new hires get trained on certain types of easier petitions before they move one to the more complex ones. He said K1s ("honey bunny" is how they call them internally😃) are considered being less complex and usually adjudicated within 15 minutes or so.
Good news K1 processing really seems to speed up.

It’s been about 200/day process now. If they keep this up we will all be a happy camper.

Ohhh YEAHHH (in Kool-Aid man voice). And they are flirting with 220-225 cases average per day recently, and you know what that means?!?! That means about 4,800-5,000 cases a month.

They were just shy of 200 cases processed yesterday but that’s still amazing!!

I remember someone saying that usually USCIS has a day where they don't process TOO many cases a bit fewer than normally, could that been the day yesterday? : D We all have a slow day sometimes...(I Hate Tuesdays tbh myself so relateable LOL) if so USCIS better be hitting today or tomorrow 250 cases EZ Leggo USCIS we believeee!!

I'm getting spoiled. I get disappointed whenever I see anything less than 200 cases approved haha
But if you see that we're in the middle of March and it's been already 2000+ cases processed... They will definitely hit 4k, 4.5k a month soon!

Yup and that will be this month. They are on pace for ~4,700 cases processed in March.
