Where is the best place to stay up to date on live info for weekly numbers? Is there another link other than the google drive doc? I am a September 2022 filer.

Also- just wanted to point out that in USCIS's FY 2022 report, as of Sept 30 they were closing more cases than they received on an overall basis (not for each visa type). However some visa types were prioritized for reducing backlogs. As an example, the Naturalizations backlog was being reduced by net 130k cases a quarter at that time. (see below link)

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/Quarterly_All_Forms_FY2022_Q4.pdf

If they get rid of that backlog and focus their resources to other visa types, they could abolish the Fiance visa backlog in a few months. However I know Fiance visa is not their priority and they are balancing their resources with other visa types.

We should all complain to our senators. I have heard they actually do listen sometimes to these types of complaints.

Sadly with these wait times, it feels like it's easier to get to the US illegally via Mexico than doing things the right way. The government should be doing more to promote legal immigration. Frustrating

1 in 3 are RFE - I second that data.

There's been a flood of RFEs - I wish more of impacted users would speak up and share their stories.

I think I have about 47000 roughly in front of me and I'm a mid October 2022 filer. That's not including RFE etc. So in this scenario I think I would get my NOA2 in about 58 weeks? If I'm in the lucky few that are in the first wave. At worst I think it would be something like 70 weeks. Hoping for even better processing times ahead!

About 43K.

my friend who has recently finished K1 says they had random peaks of RFEs. May be new staff being overcautious

It hit really bad for mid-September cases (1 in 2 incidence) and has since plateaued at 1 in 3.

I am seriously considering pre-sending some additional data for my case, which is on pause as my beneficiary's Schengen visa got shot down. But after that, a letter a month to USCIS sounds like a plan. Lots of pictures and such in each. :D

I'm sorry about your fiancee's visa denial. I see you have the Russian flag. Have you tried Greece? They are not as hostile to Russian visitors

Edit: how will you send them a letter? I didn't know that possible to presend things

So:

With Schengen, once one goes a certain way, there's no deviation.

Any non-Spanish applications will be shot down on the spot.

We're literally either going to Spain or not going to EU at all.

P.S. But we need to continue this in the Regional forum to avoid getting canned 😜

I hope you saw my edit about how you will send the USCIS letters?

Also, what do you mean? Do all Schengen visas go through Spain alone? I had no idea 😲

So, I don't know if they will work. Worst-case scenario, I already have an RFE response package on-hand.

First Schengen visa denial is disseminated to all member-states who automatically deny any future visas for this recipient.

Welcome to the digital age of biometrics.

Yeah it's a good idea to gather materials for a possible RFE as soon as possible to avoid further delays.

It sucks about the visa thing. I hope you're able to figure it out and it all works out! Don't lose hope

What kind of documents would be the standard to gather to prepare for a potential RFE
