that's been some of the RFEs? I've seen forms giving examples of how to prove relationship and included wedding plans. How you plan a wedding on a visa that takes ??? time?!

Also seen a lot of denials cause people haven't met or didn't meet the financial req.

Have there been denials that were kinda ridiculous or were they all legit/major things that applications missed?

Also wedding planning before having a visa or even applying sounds silly lol how does that even work .. besides just knowing date/location

I haven't seen many to be honest but myself and another k1 app have only really seen it for people who didn't do 2yrs, lacked finance or missing divorce documents.

High risk countries do have a higher burden of proof but I don't think I've seen one where there wasn't an obvious cause. You can also appeal a denial I believe.

I guess discussing what you have vaguely planned??? Tbh bf and I mostly have planned what we want. Whether it'll be achievable on this visa... Who know

Edit: i guess generally they want to get a sense that you care about your upcoming marriage

makes sense yeah!

Right yes, my bf and I have an idea of where we want it and when and a general outline & family members already got the B1 visa to attend the wedding, but we don't have photographers or makeup artists booked or anything. Pretty reasonable to ask for wedding plans besides that, fair enough.

597 new cases processed this week. Pretty good considering it was a 4 day week. May mean we're more averaging ~700/week but guess we'll see next week 🙏

Really hoping they can get it up to 800 a week soon

Definitely hoping, too. For now, this is shaping up to be a 7,000 - 7,500 case quarter, a mild bump over Q3-2022 and Q4-2022.

I'll take a mild bump. It's going in the right direction at least! :)

The approval trough is 12 weeks wide. This week people from August, September, October, November were touched.

And some only got served with RFEs.

You meant to say even though is says “case received “ for august, September, October, November, they are already opened and being process? Because when I checked on the case tracker for those months, 95% still says case received.

Are you looking at 2021 or 2022?
Majority of Aug and Sept cases should now be Approved, denied, RFE or withdrawn. Oct is at about 50% now with some cases in Nov done too

2021. If you run the numbers in 500 increments most of the results says case received. Unless you have other ways to check it.

Edit:

You're a bit ahead of the first approval wave - it's around 11/10 - 11/14

Here's the most recent touched case I found - NOA1 from 11/10/2021:

2290017013 Additional RFE Sent 1/21/23 1/21/23
