Please I have a quick question which I couldn't find answer to via Google. I am wondering for a k2 aos, do they get 2 years conditional pr or something else after approval for main applicant (k1) aos

It’s rare for a K-1/2 to get a 10 year. If they do it is because:

 

* mistake by USCIS. The K-1 still has  to file I-751 2 years later 

 

* first I-485 was rejected and so the K-1 refilled I-485

 

* K-1 married on time but waited well past I-94 expiration to file I-485

 

* USCIS took too long to decide the case, despite the I-485 being filed before I-94 expired 

 

* couple did a proxy or online marriage before K-1 visa issued and didn’t consummate until after the K-1 arrived
