Good afternoon everyone

I am submitting I-130 to bring my mom to US

Those who submitted affidavit mother child relation from your relatives, did you submit it in your native language, translated and notarized it?

Or just directly in English and your relative just signed it?

Please please let me know

Thank you so much

I could be wrong but I did not send any affidavit. Only reason why it would be necessary I believe is if you absolutely do not have any legal papers establishing the relationship for example birth certificate or if you are married your marriage certificate includes your parents name on it.

As long as you submit your official birth certificate showing your name and that of your mother, you should be fine. USCIS won’t be needing anything else as far as establishing relationships with your mother.

IR5 Jan filer here for both parents.

Does the processing time on USCIS indicate a rough start to finish of the petition OR is it until approved to be passed onto NVC for processing?

NOA received Jan 4, 2023

one says 7 months until case decision, another says 9 months until case decision.

I Think it’s until approved to be passed onto NVC for processing.

It showed 11 months when I applied in January 2023. Then it came down to 7 months for both parents in the middle of March. I again checked it today, the processing time moved to 10 and 11 months for mom and dad respectively. Did anyone else experienced the same?

That’s normal. Happens all the time with different forms. I’d say about 6 months average for them to reach a decision on one or both cases.

yes. i just checked. went back up to 11 months and 10 months respectively. I'm sure it's normal though.
