Hello everyone! what is a priority date and where can you check it?

Thanks

Priority date is basically when USCIS received your petition you filed . It’s located at top left of your initial receipt notice or approved I-130 Petition Letter .

Somebody will be happy to help I’m sure. Or you can start your own new thread if you prefer.

Can anyone access either of these two links? I can log into my case, but I can’t access these links that were included in my welcome letter. I’ve tried different browsers and different devices.

To all those who are already DQ, did you submit tax for 1 or 3 years? Was it the return or transcript? W2s for 1 year or 3years? What other financial document did you submit other than this? In my case I am the petitioner and the sole sponser.

I am really stumped on this might be an easy one to others but it got me all confused, so my husband is going to be my joint sponsor for my parent's I-864 on part 6 number 8 where they asked for the income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size. Do I put my husband's name and income there even if he is going to fill out a different I-864 as a joint sponsor? also this form doesnt allow you to edit and fill up some portions even if you have the most updated adobe. what is the easiest way to upload without having to print and scan all the papers? aghhhhh is it just me? im so frustrated right now lol help please :(

Hi there, and happy afternoon,

I just got an RFE about a family-based visa. I was able to secure a copy of my birth certificate, which was required by the RFE. Regretfully, the birth certificate office mistyped my date of birth, which I quickly corrected when I received it. I wanted to submit my birth certificate in both color and black and white, even though I had it corrected. Little did I know that I had accidentally attached the certificate with the incorrect birthdate. I thus turned in two: one with the incorrect date in color and one in black and white with the right dob.Lastly, once I realized my mistake, I rushed and put the correct one in color on my account, and I also wrote a letter explaining the situation. What do you all think will happen?

With your letter of explanation, it should suffice. Just wait and see.

When I had an RFE for my mothers birth certificate, i quickly uploaded it but also mailed in. Probably took around 2 weeks or so for USCIS to receive and to continue with the processing.

Hope you won't be waiting long.

I hope someone can help me here... How long is it from I130 approval to interview? Thanks!

Depends on many factors (which consulate, how long the I-130 takes to be approved, how quickly the applicant pays the fees and submits docs, how quickly NVC are working at that stage, etc). But figure about 18 months to 2 years as a rough guide for most people.

HTH.
