letter format for intent to re-establish domicile

I have to write a letter for intent to re-establish domicile in the U.S.

 

Here is what I have so far.  let me know If I should change anything.

my I-797C came from Nebraska, so I am assuming that is where my application is.

 

Do I need to list steps I have taken to maintain US Domicile?  I am assuming that I have enough documents for support/

 

Should I list steps I have taken to return to the US?

I, ____________________, am currently residing in Japan with my spouse, ___________. I plan to return to the United States with spouse to resume my domicile in the U.S. I have maintained a mailing address within the U.S. at ________________________________________

 

Below you will find a list of steps taken to show that my principal residence is in the US along with supporting documents.

 

Steps I have taken to maintain US Domicile:

  • Maintained my Voter registration

  • Maintained my Checking account at [Bank Name] Bank

  • Maintained a current [U.S. State] Drivers license.

  • Maintained my US investments account with [company]

  • Maintained my IRA retirement account with [company].

 

Supporting Documents for the above steps I have taken:

  • Voter registration card

  • [company] bank statement

  • Current [U.S. State] drivers license

  • [company] Form 5498, IRA Contribution statement for 2022

  • [company] Consolidated form 1099

 

I declare that I intend in good faith to re-establish my domicile in the United States no later than the date of my spouse's admission into the US.

 

I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States that the statements in this letter and all accompanying evidence are true and correct.
