I did not think NVC had a number you can use, or is that old information?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I think you're right. Any way I can follow up with their email? Or should I wait? I'm not receiving any updates from them anymore.

There is no visa available by law until your PD becomes current on the Visa Bulletin. Absolutely nothing you can do until that happens, no way of expediting it, no way of following up, nothing you can chase or email about.

So all you can do it wait, keep watching the VB when it's released each month, and wait until the date is earlier than your PD. And as above, have a look at naturalising if it would help and you are eligible.

Good luck.

Appreciate you.

I've checked the VB right now. Our priority date is April 15, 2019.

But there are two dates on the VB. Could you please explain it to me and help me understand? Thanks again.

The first one is what you need to be looking at now, that's the final action date. When your PD is before the date on that, a visa number is available to you and you'll be added to the queue for an interview to be scheduled.

The second one isn't relevant to you, that's the date for filing an application i.e. anybody with a date prior to that will be asked to submit their DS-260's, pay their fees and submit their documents. You've already done all that, so now Table A is the important one.

Hope that helps and makes sense?

Yes, that makes sense. Thank you. So there's 2 months left until our priority date. Does it move 1 month every present month? Like for next month, the current final action date will be March 2019. or no one can tell when it moves?

Is still worth naturalize even though it's this close?

No, unfortunately it doesn't work like that, it was the same date last month too, it hasn't changed. It can jump forwards or even backwards. Hopefully December's VB will be released soon so keep an eye out for that.

December's VB is out. Bad news….the date hasn't changed again for your category. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-december-2023.html
