Consular Interview appointment took too long

 I am the petitioner of my mother. I-130 was filed since 2019 and NVC received and approved all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa on 2021.

Since then we are waiting patiently for an interview appointment to be scheduled.

I already contacted NVC about it and they said they are waiting  for the consular office in Addis Ababa to decide the interview date I understand the backlog from the Pandemic but I believe  waiting 2 years is not normal  even with the pandemic backlog 
Is any one experiencing this very long wait for interview

what should i do ?

Wait. Like everyone else. They're still digging through the backlog and Addis was actually on ordered departure for a while.
