We got an email today:

"The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."

We never requested an expedite, and we're really not in a hurry.  How does this happen?

The email contain your case number? The email address is the correct one from the Consulate?

We also received the same message dated yesterday, January 9 2023.  We didn’t request expedited handling either.  We are in the NCR, Manila.

It contains the correct case number. It's from US Dept of State, not USEmbassy MNL.

Received same email last week 1/9/23. I did request an expedite after i became a citizen. Filed a f2a petition with a minor derivative and now it was upgraded to IR and filed another I130 for my minor child. Did they scheduled your interview?

No schedule yet.  They seem to be all over the place with the timing. From 30 days to 6 or 8 months. I'll post when it happens.
