Greetings,

My expedite request for my I-129F Petition was granted on November 30th by USCIS on behalf of my Senator. It has since been 40 days. I was wondering when the appropriate time is to make an additional inquiry. It should be said I did my first inquiry at the 30-day mark, and am still waiting to hear back about case outcome. Any guess on what the next practical move should be from here?

I've heard of peoples expedites going to purgatory and thats what I'm trying to avoid, but if its a logical step to wait a few more days or weeks I get that.

thanks.

I have certainly seen a couple of months but not aware of any published times.

Since K-1s are by nature considered to be "expedited" already, it is unlikely that the process  will be measurably faster than it would have been otherwise.

Also, background checks/vetting cannot be expedited.

I was under the impression that the background check process happened at the phase of when the fiancé is to arrive at the U.S. Embassy for their interview. Does this mean I am mistaken?

VJ has excellent guides on the immigration process.

I would call USCIS. Say info pass and speak with an agent. They helped me and the next day I had my NOA2. Then you can expedite at NVC. It is taking time to get through NVC though

best of luck

NVC cannot be expedited for K-1.  By it's nature it is expedited by default.

It can be expedited by the Embassy.  Once USCIS approves it, wait a couple of weeks for the NVC to receive it (no notification will be sent out for this) and then contact the Embassy to see if they will expedite.

What exactly did you say? Also how long are the projections for NVC once they receive it?

My case was approved on the 42nd day of the expedite approval. Hope this helps everyone!

Thank you for that - can you fill out your timeline though? That would help more people. :)
