Just got RFE asking for petitioner to upload most recent Wage and Income IRS Tax Transcript 2021. We did not have that as petitioner was a full time MBA student and did not have income that tax year. We submitted so many documents to mitigate this.

1. 2021 evidence of no tax return filed

2. 6 months of most recent paystub from Jul to Dec 2022

3. MBA transcript

4. Cover letter to explain why 2021 had no tax transcript

Any idea what else we can do?

I seem to find some evidence of others in same situation but got DQ anyway.

Just give them what they want. Letter explaining there’s no W2 nor 1099s for the years in question. If you don’t include that they’ll ask for the 1099 😂

Yeah, we typed out a letter, printed it, then signed and dated it. Resubmitted today 31 Jan. Hope to get DQ by 23 Feb if they keep up with current rate.

Uploaded the letter in this category. Hope its correct. This process is so frustrating.

Should have been under W2 just because that’s what they asked for.

thanks - we will upload the same explanation letter under W2 category as well to cover our bases and be extra zealous 😅

FYI - we have previously submitted 2022 W2 and the document was already accepted.

Finally submitted our docs today! Can I be added to the January spreadsheet?? So ready to see some movement here! (And desperately afraid of getting an RFE - this process has already taken so long)

Has anyone received their IL’s yet? I’m concerned I’ve seen no letter sent out since 12th January. Before now, they were quite regular in November and December for UK.

November and December have lots of federal holidays in the US, so that might have been the reason. I've seen one IL today, but I think they are embassy specific?... Not from NVC
