I just joined this community cause i have been so stress about this EAD card. So I reapply for my EAD card last year, cause i never received anything from usps even when they said they already delivered to me (Nov 20, 2022). So it’s happening again with my second card that im apply. Is there anyone here that has same story as me? I’m afraid if im reapplying again they will deny my form

How did you reapply for EAD and got another to be produced quickly?

You cannot just reapply for EAD because "it wasn't delivered." You file for replacement, which takes 6+ months. So, did you file a new card or replacement this past November.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

So i apply my first original EAD card together with my AOS in Nov 2021, supposed get delivered to me by march 2022 but i never reciprocated it. So that month i reapply again and supposed to receive my second card on Nov 20, 2022 but until today i never got it.

it just so stressful, they manage to send my notice but how can everytime when they trying to send my card i never get it.

do you think if I apply for the 3rd time i will get denied?

I think you should take BOTH tracking numbers for the missing cards and go down to your post office and get an inquiry started. They can usually pinpoint if it actually made in the mail carriers bag and if it got put in your box,

Problem is not w USCIS…since you are getting the paper notices , just not the plastic card..There may be some bad people stealing the card …either before or after it makes it to your box.

After you do this, then definitely use a different mailing address for next card and submit proof of problems w mail delivery

How did you re apply, what form did you file?

It this was me, I would not have waited until January to start stressing about this. It happened to you twice already so the third time, I recommend that you approach it differently. The normal practice is once you have the tracking number, to follow it religiously and if you do not get it when it says "delivered", you go to the local USPS post office right away with the tracking number. The USPS lady told me that if it was undeliverable, sometimes they hold it in your local office for a few days. Sign up for USPS informed delivery to get updates every step of the way and take action. You have a greater chance of recovering the package if you take action within days of it missing.

My mail goes missing all the time as well but I was very proactive and usually took action before I receive the document that takes forever to be replaced (not to mention costly as well):

1. EAD- when USCIS gave me the tracking number in Dec 2021, I actually waited out outside the apartment mailbox room for 3 hours to wait for the mailman. When I saw the mailman, I asked him for it and I gave him a hug LOL. I told him my important mail usually goes missing so I waited for him outside in the cold.

2. Green Card- I was also stressing again when I got the tracking number last month as I do not trust USPS. I wish USCIS uses Fed/Ex instead. Anyway, I knew what time the mailman usually delivers mail to our new apartment and I again, waited in the lobby for several hours so that I do not miss the mailman. When he arrived, I asked him for it and he gave it to me without looking at my ID.

As you can see, you can prevent your card from getting lost with proactive approach. I'd like to mention again that I do not trust USPS with my life and investing a few hours waiting for the mailman to arrive paid dividends. Good luck!

Edited by chancecody
