didn’t know I had to put YES for the question number 23 on the N400 form since both traffic school instructor and police officer said it will be removed in my record so I put NO as answer.

Just go online and do Typographical Error e-request , say  item x should be Yes, and write a 2 sentence explanation. ..since you seem determined to worry.
And as @Mike E indicates you can address it at interview as well

I’ll try to request typo error.

Please stop ticket/traffic school and or DMV and bank account payment chasing ..and the unnecessary stress.

If you want to be 100% percent armed with records that are relevant to the N-400 then do this :

1. Get an FBI fingerprint done ( easily available and less than $50) It will show “no record”

2. Call up the court clerk and they will walk you through doing a record search ( form to file from the comfort of your home )..That will be considered the Custodian of Record Letter and will likely say No Record or Record destroyed cause it’s too old .lNo matter what it says..it’s sufficient and NOTHING more needed.

3. Do Nothing cause USCIS will have already had a look at your FBI / criminal background and they know you are squeaky clean and it won’t be an issue at interview. Worse case scenario..IF they do want any records..you would still do step 1 and 2 for an RFE but would  NOT be denied.

I would counter that traffic ticket record follow up may not always be unnecessary 'chasing' - from personal experience. Try your best within whatever is reasonably possible, and then do not take undue stress as you mention.  I had minor traffic violation tickets which were properly paid and disposed of.  During the interview, the IO asked about any violations or arrests etc, I informed about the tickets and their disposition.  The IO mentioned as long they are minor violations paid off with fines less than 500 (i think)  its all fine, but still asked to see the disposition letters for those tickets. I did have the certified disposition letters from the court handy and everything was good. I do not know if it would have gone in any different  direction had I not been able to pull out the evidence on the moment. Did he really need to see those records - maybe not, was he just testing me - maybe, would his decision have been any different - most probably not.  Sometimes it also just varies from IO to IO.

Thank you for your comment. Did you wait to be asked by the IO or did you tell him upfront of your citation?

I agree it all depends on the IO. I just pray I will be assigned to a more considerate one.

I will make sure I will have documentation before my interview.

By the way, what is certified disposition letters and how do we acquire it? Do I need that in my case? I have been pulled over by a state trooper for over speeding. Gave me a ticket and suggested that I take a class at a Traffic School in AZ.

Lord protect us from  ISOs who burden applicants with these trifles. They know the tickets were paid. Otherwise the FBI sheet they would show warrants.  And if there aren’t warrants on an unpaid ticket these are trifles.

Experiences like yours are why I gave the advice I did to OP.

I think the IO asked about any violations or tickets or something to that sense, and I offered the information about the tickets. ( Also to note, that I had not mentioned those tickets on my N400).

Certified disposition letters are issued by the municipal courts where you paid your ticket. It has a court stamp and certificate that the ticket(s) have been disposed off with the fine mentioned.  I understand you do not have any information on the ticket numbers or anything, so that may be difficult to find. But as suggested otherwise, if you can get a county search or something done and get the ticket number or the date, that may work. But in general I agree with Mike E that it is un-necessary hassle IOs put us through, especially when you do not have any serious record like drunk driving, accidents etc.

I see. I did not pay my fine to court. Instead, I paid through the traffic school for my defensive driving class. At the end of the class, I received a certificate of completion course. After whole afternoon of searching, I finally found it. Thanks for your advice.
