This weekend has been full of turmoil in MENA. Cases of fraud were continuously discussed. I think we are all aware of it being a possibility, even though we believe in our love and current situation with our SO. It has also been discussed how different Arab men are from American women. And lots of stereotypes were thrown around. Some people agreed, some people didn't.

On the bright side of things-include your warm fuzzies about your SO. Especially if you have been married for a period of time. What has your positive experience been like? Or drop a warm fuzzy any given day about your SO!

The best way I have found to preserve roses is to string a piece of thread thru the stem and let them dry out in the air. They will be fragile, but craft stores have a liqiid ceramic substance that will actually not change the rose in color, but will make it stronger and it should last a lifetime. I also have a rose that was set in acrylic and I use it as a paper weight, Just an idea.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

I have warm fuzzies about my husband because we are expecting a baby girl and he loves to look at the tiny little pink outfits and dresses we have already. I cant wait to see him as a daddy, it makes me feel like I'm gonna cry just thinking about it! :luv:

I am looking at my sweetheart right now as he sleeps. We have had a tough couple of days, but he never faltered or wavered or stopped loving me. I am appalled at the way I behaved and he has forgiven me and told me that he will be with me as long as he lives. Over pizza, we were laughing and talking about some of the things posted here on VJ and he was really saddened. He said honey, a man that will not support his children is worse than an infidel. I cannot imagine having to start a website to get donations to help feed or provide for any future children. It is truly sad and shocking and that just goes to show, before you reproduce with a man make sure you know what you are dealing with because there is no going back on another human being, but a bad marriage we can almost certainly walk away from.

Thanks for the topic I adore you! It is like a breath of fresh air

My warm fuzzy for Mohammed happened last week. I had surgery on Thursday, he stayed up talking to me until about 5 am his time because I was too nervous to sleep. He then got up at 8 his time to talk to me again as I was leaving and he was crying...trying not to let me see but crying. Then after I came out of surgery and my friend called him to tell him I was ok, he actually made her cry because all she could get out of him was crying and thank you God. We've been together 3 yrs, but the depth of his feelings and his ability to express them never fail to make me all warm and fuzzy!!!

She's right. You might want to get them out of the bag ASAP because they could mold. Air drying them is much better. I've dried flowers before and I used to put them in a storage warm that did not have A/C in it. To perserve the bloom, it's best if you can hang them upside down. :)

Great idea for a thread...

I've got so many but these are a couple of my favorites:

A few years ago I had to have a pretty serious operation that left me very weak. It was hard for me to get up and down out of a chair. I will never forget Hicham making a lovely bubble bath for me and washing my back. And just being so tender in helping me dry off and get dressed.

The other is that when Hicham talks about how proud he is of our son and how healthy and smart he is, he tells me how proud of me he is for raising our son. I feel like that is the highest compliment he can give.

Great thread!! The memory that comes to mind - he used to sing to me on the phone the song you are not alone - - - is anywho...when I was in Egypt I was filming him w/my digital camera and he started singing that song and said some very loving things to me...it is so nice to have now since we are apart again and will be until he has his VISA...so that is my moment...for now..I am sure I will have more....

My husband has been really frustrated starting his business and we've had our moments. Last week, he came into the city to take care of some business and was rushing to meet me at work by 5p so we could have dinner together. He walked up to my desk with a red rose and placed it in front of me. It really meant alot and was a sweet thought.

The adjustment is no easy road by any means, but its great when you have the support of your good friends and the love of your SO to get you through it!

Thanks I adore you for this post :)
