Help on I864 Affidavit of Support

Hi,

I am on H1b visa and my husband is a US citizen. I am currently preparing all the supporting documents needed for the marriage green card application.  For I864 Affidavit of Support, we currently have my husband's last year's tax return transcript, most recent 2 month paystubs, and an offer letter stating his role and annual salary (he just started a new job two month ago). Are these evidence sufficient enough? Do we need to have an employment verification letter from my husband's employer? Does an offer letter work the same? My husband prefer not to ask his HR department for help if not necessary, since they are very inefficient and tend to ghost people's emails sometimes. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Have you read the instructions on I-864?

And BTW, it's either:

1. IRS transcripts OR

2. IRS returns + W2s

You can't mix and match.

Employment letter is not needed.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
