[Success] Imported my Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 to USA

First time posting here, just to say thanks to the friends and community members who have asked and answered many questions on this topic. I had to obtain a letter from Hyundai on compliance with US MVSS, had to fit an after market TPMS, obtained 3 forms sealed by Department of Homeland Security while crossing the border, and then worked with Pennsylvania DOT and the AutoTag center in my local town to successfully complete all paperwork.

Now my Santa Fe has a Pennsylvania license plate and a PA insurance, so I guess this is a success.

Thank you for letting us know. Having the same issue with my Kia. What part did you get and which border did you cross at? Was there any issue or right away approved it?

I bought a digital TPMS from amazon. It is mounted on my dash (or windshield) and works wirelessly to get data from all 4 tires. I crossed at Niagara Falls Queenston Lewiston Bridge. The officer approved the import right away, and just stamped the documents that I was already carrying. It only took like 10 minutes. The officer didn't even see the TPMS in the car, but he did see that the car is indeed there from afar.

I am in same boat planning to import my Santafe XL 2019 into US. Thanks for the ray of hope as my vehicle doesnt have TPMS and same is confirmed by HyundaiCanada.

Looking at the letter(attached) it didnot look like this will pass.If you dont mind can you please attach your

1.Hyundai compliance letter by masking your details

2.Names of 3 forms

Based on these I will also follow same path and will post results here.

Also did you get hard copy of compliance letter or just soft copy from Hyundai Canada?

Thanks in advance.

Awaiting reply.
