Hello everyone,

I just got an email today from the NVC with a case number, After looking up the status it shows "In Transit Your case is in transit to the Consular Section"

I have a few questions.

1) Do I file the DS-160 right now?

2) Should I now go ahead with the getting the Criminal Record Check Done & Having My Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support

3) When do I pick the interview date? Is that in the DS-160 form?

Overall I'm just a little confused at what my next step is, I've done alot of research and I keep seeing conflicting reports of don't file the DS-160 now and file it right now.. also I have no idea what I should be doing right now.

Thanks alot for your help, I'm sorry if my questions are dumb I'm just really overwhelmed.

1.  Yes

2.  Yes -- get the police certificate.  I-134 may be filled out, signed, scanned, emailed, and printed anytime before the interview.

3.  Submit the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, then book the visa interview schedule using the consulate's online scheduling portal.

Note that the procedure may differ from what I said above, depending on your interviewing consulate.

Thank you so the Affidavit of support isn't needed until it's brought to the interview?

Also, when do I go ahead with scheduling the medical & can I get any missing shots/vaxs @ the medical?

Thanks.

Correct.

Depends on your country and the vaccination services at the consulate-accredited clinic(s).

Your previous posts indicate that you are in Canada.  Is that right?

You may schedule your medical after you book your K1 visa interview schedule.  You may get any missing vaccines at the medical, but it might cost more.  Ok to get your shots at a pharmacy or a local clinic, just make sure to get a copy of your vaccination record.
