Hi,

I went to the Interview on Dec 13th in Stockholm. They asked me to submit the original birth certificate from my birth country and also asked me to send the CV as I am in EB1A category. I sent the CV on Dec 15th and birth certicate on Dec 23rd.  They kept our passports. However, it is still in Admin processing.   Any idea, how long should I wait for the visa ?

Minimum of 10 working days from December 23. The embassy observes all U.S. and Swedish holidays.

@AnotherGC could I please ask what types of questions you were asked in the EB1A interview as I am booked for my interview next month.

They asked me about my CV , like when I finished Ph D? which companies I worked after my Ph D? How many publications etc. How about the job opportunities , I showed 4 job offers. The  total compensation with the present company and the future prospective employers etc.

Do they expect you to have an offer? As I understand it, EB1A is self petitioned and the applicant is free to work for anyone on arrival (in the industry that your skill is in).

also with salary, with the current role, are they expecting you to make a particular threshold?

Not really. Infact I was surprised they asked about that. Otherwise atleast you can show what you are planning to do in USA. Basically they want to make sure you are not deviating from your actual research.,

With the salary, I am not sure what is the motivation of asking the present and potential salary ?

Hi,

Today I got a message from the embassy that

''The cases are with the officer for adjudication and approval.  We will contact you once visas are issued and you will need to come to the embassy to collect your packages.''

This means, the admin processing is completed ?

Wait til CEAC case status shows "Issued".  That's the most credible indication that the consulate is done with all processing.

The case  isn’t done until the visa is issued, in hand, and the visa holder has entered the U.S. with the visa. State  has even been known to recall an issued visa.

I am not sure you read my question. I was asking regarding the admin processing of 221G, not issuance of a visa.

Yes I read your question. The inference you can take from my comment is that AP is never done until you enter the U.S. on the visa.

Here we are talking about the AP due to 221G white slip, not the entering US.

Hi,

My status was updated with Issued.

'''Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon''

This means are they going to send an email for pickup or I need to go to the pickup center without nay further communication from the embassy.
