We got our noa2 in December 13th, our embassy is in the Dominican republic. We are planning our wedding for April, already booked a venue. What is the timeline we should expect from now for the following?

1. Get NVC case number

2. Be able to get a interview

3. Nail the interview

4. Get passport with visa

If you have any info for any of this it would help a lot!

I wouldn't suggest booking anything. Right now the total wait time to get processed by the NVC is about 3 months. It took about 45 days for USCIS to even send them my case and another 47 days and counting for the NVC to process it (still waiting).

After that, they send it the embassy. This usually is pretty quick, 5 or so days on average I believe.

Then you schedule your interview. You should check the region specific forum for how busy and backlogged the Dominican Republic embassy is.

If all goes well, you should receive your passport in 2-3 days after the interview. Again, this depends on your embassy. Administrative processing (AP) is also a risk with some people.

I don’t think you will be able to get married in April. It is taking nvc awhile to assign the case number and also the interview dates are currently in February in DR. By the time your case is sent, the calendar could easily be in May

I see

Fill out your timeline and join the thread below. NVC is taking about 8-10 weeks to assign a case number. And then you have to see what availability is at the embassy for interview. Even if everything goes right, you would be cutting it really close with a April wedding.

Agree with what is said. You are not even 100% certain that you will be issued the visa. So c

I would not book or pay anything until I get the visa . No disrespect just trying to be honest
