Hello,

 

Which center should I send in the I 485 and I 765 for my wife? We had sent in the I-130 online, but our receipt shows that it is being processed by the Potomac center. We live in Philadelphia and this is for a spousal visa. I am a US citizen.

Your profile says K1 so did you wife come to the US on a K1?

Visas are only obtained at US consulates overseas. If you’re adjusting status in the US as a spouse of a US citizen , that’s different.

Where is your spouse RIGHT now?  I-485 is NEVER applicable for a spousal visa.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Looks like the Illinois lockbox assuming your spouse is adjusting status in the US

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

She did not come in on an actual visa, only ESTA. Yes, we are aware that this is against normal protocol, but have read that situations like ours regarding spouses, overstaying is forgiven
