Hi All,

Has anyone filed a petition for both parents and got 2 different processing times? 

We filed for both parents online at the same time and our case status came back with Mom's processing time as 5 months but Dad's processing time is 12 months. When we received our letters for both, they came from Texas Service Center. But when we called USCIS to get more info, the rep said that Dad's case is at Nebraska Service Center.

That's normal.  IR cases are standalone and independent of each other.  You may request to link them at NVC stage after both petitions have been approved by USCIS.

No.  You must contact NVC and the consulate to request they be interviewed together.  You need to hold the first one at NVC.  They are SEPARATE cases and are processed independently.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
