Hey there! I’ve got CR-1 visa and arrived in USA. I have been waiting for my physical GC but I received biometrics appointment from USCIS 🤷🏻‍♀️

My question is do they convert categories on CR-1 to IR-1 because we’ve been married for 23 months?

On the day you arrived in the U.S. on your CR-1, were you married for at least 2 years?

Answer is no.  If you are married two years or more when you enter the USA with a CR1 visa, you will receive IR1 status.

im wondering why they  want see me for biometrics appointment then I’m not on AOS proses

You will get a 2 yr GC (should have waited another month to enter).  Not sure about being called for biometrics, maybe there was an issue with CBP when you arrived, or maybe USCIS lost the photo you submitted for your physical GC.

You are not entitled to a 20 year green card.  If your visa expires after your 2 year anniversary, you should have waited to enter the U.S.

Perhaps the biometrics taken  by the embassy or its contractor are not good enough for USCIS.  Or perhaps CBP’s biometrics showed too high a deviation from the consular biometrics.

There has been an issue with the biometrics already on file .. usually quality related. Hopefully you do no have to travel far .. my ASC is 3 1/2 hrs away 😳
