I said rarest although I'm no expert on who's who in Orange County. I'm sure there are a few Moroccans scattered around but if you compare them to the amount of Iranians, Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese, and Mexicans then they are veryyyyyyyyyyyy rare!

It's hard to tell. Canadians don't exactly stand out in a crowd here. Either way, my dive instructor is canadian, so she's not going to be too rare.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

Koreans are somewhat common in this part of New York. Not extremely common as they are in NYC. I go to a Korean church and some members drive from quite far away to get there.

One of the biggest reasons I love California is the cultural diversity here. I believe there's nearly a million Filipino's in California, with over half living in the LA area. I think for anyone marrying a foreigner, having that kind of familiarity nearby makes their transition to America not so overwhelming. :star:

:thumbs:there are many filipinas around here too.

i think very rare especially in the neighborhood we live in, it's rare to hear the english accent unless we go to a specific part of town where the specialty shops are

i also think that we are sort of rare as a couple in general (as far as this whole immigration process goes) as i'm asian-american and he's english and looking around vj and around the uscis office when we went for the aos interview, in every other asian/caucasian couple, the asian person was the foreign spouse not the other way around as in our case

It's quite diverse in San Francisco and CA in general. In the bay area, specifically the block where we resided, I was the only Asian so when the neighbors saw me for the first time (they previously heard about me from my husband), they (Caucasians) went all the way to say hi to me, asked questions, and were very curious I could just tell, but in a positive way.

Also, if I may add, when my husband's employer & co-workers learned of my arrival and later our wedding, they held a surprise post-wedding party for us. My husband was totally not expecting such degree of curiosity. I am not so rare (Filipino) after all in CA and their company had lots of Fil workers. They went to so much trouble welcoming me, even taking my pictures excluding my husband. I was taken aback and was offended. It was just strange.

My husband has met a dozen or so Moroccans since he arrived, and I don't think there are many more than that in this city -- they all seem to know each other. He says there are a lot of Egyptians here, though, and MENA in general is pretty well represented.
