Hello everyone! Just want to ask everyone’s opinion. So we filed my husband’s Removal of Conditions last September 2022 and last Dec 9, it changed to case was updated to show fingerprints were taken and we got a mail about it too ( i’m assuming they reused his fingerprints when we did his AOS); however, yesterday, we received an appointment for a biometric. I’ve been trying to contact uscis since yesterday but i cant get through to a representative. I was wondering if anyone can give us advice if we should go to that appointment if we cant reach a representative by then. Thank you so much!

Go to the appointment.  The written instructions are accurate. Don't trust what a rep tells you on the phone.

Definitely go to the appointment, even if you do get through to someone on the phone. It's better to show up and not be needed there, than to be marked as a no-show for a biometrics appointment.

Happens all the time that people get the "fingerprints were taken" and even an update saying they will reuse old fingerprints, only for USCIS to send another letter later on with an appointment for biometrics. If you skip the biometrics appointment your case will eventually be considered abandoned and will be denied. It's pretty much just as bad as missing an interview.
