About 30 F. now, bright sunshine, tolerable wind.  Supermarket absolutely mobbed.

Had to get corn dogs* for Mini-Bone; forgot them yesterday.  

     *one of the major food groups

Nice part about being so cold is that we can store stuff in our garage and free up fridge space!

We ended seeing lots of the white stuff on the roads.   In California. Near Mexico. 
 

Who knew that between Blythe CA and Yuma  AZ there are cotton fields? Not me.  That was the last place I would expect I see a cotton field.  
 

By then time we finished dinner in Yuma it was a chilly 69 degrees.  We arrived home just now. The only catastrophe was paying $7 a gallon for gasoline thanks to Apple Maps routing us through California.

See, I told you, you needed to head down through Laughlin/Bullhead City and stay in NV/AZ.  Whenever we take the drive between Yuma and Death Valley, we avoid CA until we cannot anymore.

11 degrees yesterday morning in Atlanta.  There were crazy power surges at our house in the early hours around 6 am, many appliances not working, lights very dim, power on but weird things happening.  No heating system.  Electric company finally came at 11 am and discovered a corroded connection in the main panel that was causing the problem.  It also explained the flickering lights and strange power issues over the last year and half, since buying the house.  Full power restored at about 1 pm yesterday, heat finally on after the temperature inside fell to 40 degrees.  This morning heading to the gym it was 5 degrees outside.  This is not normal at all for the South.  Thankfully things will warm up in the next few days to 60 or higher.  Now we're talking about a move to Brazil in the coming years.  Tropical weather sounds very good right now.  Stay safe everyone!

Hate to rub it in but it is currently 79 degrees and sunny here in Manila. We left home in Wisconsin December 12th and wont be back until January 13th. Guess we couldn't have picked a better time. Were having fun sending family back home pictures of beaches and palm trees while they are freezing and digging out of the snow. Anyways merry Christmas everyone.

We were in Cebu in November and part of December.  Really miss it. I see a light and the end of the tunnel for moving over there

18 above zero today....that's like a 30 degree difference. woo! Still living in a human-snow globe today. Nice and windy to throw around all the fresh snow around that fell today. Interstates are still closed so lots of people might be stuck at grandma's house until the roads clear up tomorrow.; better make sure there's enough lefse dough to feed everyone!!

 

Here's from the storm this year in April, 18 inches total. Each pic was taken 24 hours apart and was ONLY 20-ish degrees above zero. Too dang cold to do a sequence like that this time around. Also note that I'm really good at growing dead grass  😬

Still cold here in the FL Keys.  Only 55 degrees.  

Sure hope it warms up quickly.

I've used up both of my long sleeve shirts.
