Embassy Requested Passport!!

Hello all,

 

IR5 interview was completed a few days ago.

 

email was now just recevied by embassy to mail in the passport to continue processing visa application.

 

Should i also send in my passport pickup info i registered for? They did not ask for that but i am just assuming it is good i include that as well just in case?

Yes send in info for passport to be mailed (which also complied with one of the options they offered) else they will simply contact you and tell you where to pickup,which is usually at the embassy and this can be a hassle if you live far away.

ok yeah just wanted to make sure cause they didnt ask for the passport pickup info (although applicant had to register online for where to pick it up) but putting 2 and 2 together, i think it would be wise to as it sounds like they are gearing up to issue her visa.

Yes that must be the only positive reason why they need hard copies of the passport. Some good news may be coming your way before the new year  or immediately after the new year

so i should send in the passport pickup information to them is what you are saying correct?

If you filled the pickup location on your account when you were filling your ds260,login and print out the page which confirms how you want the passport to be handled and add in the package you will be sending to them but I believe they can see what you filled out in the system prior to the interview.

Also, how long has it been for you all from passport being requested to Visa being issued?
