so my stupid behind forgot to put where my husband is applying for his immigrant visa (Dominican republic.) so now I have to file i-824. This PART 2 is confusing. What do I put to correct my mistake?

This is where I messed up on the i-130, so I don’t have to clarify that it’s the Santo Domingo dr u.s embassy anywhere on the i-824? Only put 1.d? Just making sure lol

Timeline

Once you check 1.d., and the USCIS sends it to NVC, NVC will assign the consulate based on the beneficiary's current address.

How long does it take to get the i824 approved and sent?

USCIS says 18 months for Nebraska Service Center. That may or may not be accurate.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
