EXPEDITED PASSPORT TAKING TOO LOOOOOONG

Hi,

 

I applied for expedited passport on november 30th 2022. Been almost 3 weeks and no status change  apart from the fee check being cashed. How long is it taking these days ?

Could be a delay because of December (holidays and stuff) ? Recently became citizen and applied for passport.

Its been taking 4-6 weeks.  Probably early Jan

Can you report once you do get it? I applied a week after you and also paid for expedited services and delivery. I sent in a cashier’s check so I have no idea if it was cashed. It’s a little unnerving knowing your naturalization certificate is just floating around somewhere.

Yea no worries. I know the certificates takes even longer than the passport. I did my wife's and my daughter's. They do come back but long enough to  makes you think that it is lost

You can always engage your congress man/woman for help.

So i just checked the status and it went from no status to SHIPPED. LOL. Apparently shipped since 12/22 and coming in tomorrow. Basically took 3 whole weeks. The notification says the certificate could take 8 weeks to come 🥹

Thank you! My status finally changed yesterday to In Process. I was just more worried about my application and naturalization certificate being lost. Congrats on the coveted Blue Passport!

Their system is funny. The status went from shipped to approved. LOL. Hopefully the status doesn't go backwards.

So for both of you it took 3 weeks or more?  Oath ceremony for my husband is 2/9/23 and we have an appt at the post office that same day to apply for a passport.  I'm thinking we won't be getting it back in 2 weeks and might have to make an Urgent Travel appointment... uggghhhh
