You got it?!?

My husband completed his interview Oct 31st. We were issued a 221g letter indicating I, the petitioner needed to submitted a couple original documents to match the copies submitted. They also requested my husband to send his passport. 2 days after receiving my documents, THEY HAVE ISSUED HIS VISA‼️ This has been the long awaited for!! Literally pulling teeth to get to this moment!! He will be arriving in the US Dec 31st and we will bring in 2025 together🙏🏽🤗 We thank God and especially our ancestors for working on our behalf, helping us to stay as strong as possible along this long journey… it’s finally coming to an end.

Hi everyone. I've got good news! Today we received our email that the immigration interview has been set for Nairobi on January 16, 2025. For those wondering about timeline, we became DQ on March 23, 2023. So, from March 23, 2023 to November 29, 2024 is approximately 20 months. Although a 20-month wait since becoming DQ is a long time, the folks following this thread will realize that recent reports have pegged the wait time at 22 months. A 20-month wait is therefore a hopeful sign that the wait time is finally starting to go down. Incidentally, our wedding date was December 29, 2020, so this letter was a nice 47-month anniversary present for us. For anyone still waiting for an IL, hang in there. Your time will come!

Yess I see many received ILs both yesterday and today! Congrats! I saw many as late as May 2023 were issued!

Thanks for your encouraging reply, Truserenity11. I know your husband is due to arrive in the U.S. on New Year's Eve, and that you must be super excited he will arrive in just a month's time. For my part, I've booked a flight to Nairobi, departing December 18th, returning stateside January 8th. So at least I will be with my better half over the holidays and to celebrate our 4-year wedding anniversary. It's amazing to think that our immigration journey is almost at an end, and that in 2025, for the first time, we will be living together under one roof. Yay!

We stood the test of time that’s for sure! I can’t wait to touch him again and bring in the new year together! We will be celebrating our 4th year anniversary on Feb 12, 2025 TOGETHER! I still can’t imagine it just yet but it will soon become my reality in 31 days!
