possible sabotage my application

Hi all,

What can I do to protect myself if my ex boyfriend tries to sabotage my EAD application? He has my personal info down to my passport number. He's been warning me for revenge since break up and what I should do to protect myself. I don't want to involve the police cuz that might get nasty since it may involve a lot of people and I haven't come out publicly yet.

Appreciate any answers.

How could he sabotage it?

I don't know maybe he can make up something that sound legit for the USCIS and I am left the burdens to prove otherwise. Because he has my personal info. And I need the work permit to support myself. I'm worried it could drag too long given how unpredictable USCIS response time can be.

Well then he'd be in a world of trouble from falsifying info/signatures, etc.  You can't control his choices.

Not sure what the EAD processing time would have to do with whether he tries to sabotage you.

What is the basis for adjusting status?

I'm worried about him sabotaging/delaying my EAD processing if he fakes something mad. I landed a return job offer from my internship last summer and I don't want to miss the opportunity. The employer probably won't wait for me for too long. Also I'm on student visa applying for OPT. So I'm scared hes going to ruin what I have worked for really hard. Thank you for following up with my question btw. It means a lot.

Op, wrt to your OPT EAD you are fine; don't let his scare tactics scare you. However, for your personal safety stay away from him and call the police if does anything crazy.

Sounds like a threat. If you have messages/emails etc why not call up the policy and get a restraining order? That should get him back to his senses.
