Is there a brilliant ulterior motive behind Trump's baseball card fundraiser?

 

People on the left and the right have been united in castigating Trump for boasting a "major announcement" that turned out to be a "Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection," with each card selling for $99.  The general belief was that this was a disgraceful grift on his part, one that saw him cashing in on his failing popularity while he still can.  A reader, however, emailed me a different suggestion:  [...]

Apparently Trump sold all the NFTs he had for sale: $4M in one day.  
 

If so, rumors of his drop in popularity appear to be exaggerated.

Never really understood the whole NFT stuff.  Seems a lot like crypto where people pay money for nothing.

NFT is the digital equivalent of a limited edition reprint of an original painting.  In either case you can make a copy, but it won’t be a lawful copy.  

You might be asking, “so why do I care?” and that’s a valid question. 
 

For $99 people get to contribute to Trump 2024, and they might even have something in that has resale value down the road.  Meanwhile the rest of NFT craze has pretty much cratered.  
 

A normal week of Trump’s life is better than a lifetime of a normal person’s life. He just had a week 100 times better than his normal week.

We will know Tuesday after some ballots are randomly selected:

 

* 50 “ballot on demand ballots” from Election Day.  Not sure what the goal here is. 

 

* 50 early ballots. The more of these the judges determines should have been marked as spoiled, the better for Lake.

Haven't checked Hotair or Redstate, but she got another foot in the door when 16,000 ballots were admitted to be in dispute.  Unless someone laps me on it, I'll find info later.
