Because you won't have one (and as @Lil bear said, you don't need it).  Because I-94 is only for visitors.  You are not a visitor.  You are a resident.  It says right there on the I-94 website, from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home -- "A Form I-94 is needed by all visitors except: U.S. Citizens, returning resident aliens, aliens with immigrant visas, and most Canadian citizens visiting or in transit."

Oh sorry, I missed that.  My husband did have one, but that was before he received his GC.

 

Without a record of admission dates, that must make it hard for some LPRs keep tabs on presence for N400 purposes.

We had to check all the entry and exit stamps in my wife's passport to get exact dates for her N-400 form.  Luckily, she had only 3 trips outside the US.

Who gets an I-94 form?

 

 

A Form I-94 is needed by all visitors except: U.S. Citizens, returning resident aliens, aliens with immigrant visas, and most Canadian citizens visiting or in transit. Travelers will be issued an I-94 during the admission process at the port of entry.

 

Print out this USCIS page and take it to employer  as Spouses with CR1 /IR1  don't get I 94

For what it’s worth, my partner and I had access to our I-94 just a few months ago, but when we became permanent residents recently the records were removed from the portal.
