Hello,

 

I need to have my divorce decree translated into English. Please can you advise if it needs to be just certified or also notarized? 
 

Can anyone do the translation?

is it for AOS or for consular processing?

if AOS, the person who translate it, just need to write that " i, [name] translate this document, i can read and speak english" something like that.

 

u can always notarized or get certified translator aswell for consular processing

Sorry still not familiar with acronyms, not sure what AOS is. We’re about to send our form and packet to USCIS. I know we need to show our divorce decrees. Mine is in my native language so I’m assuming it needs translating otherwise how will they know I’m legally allowed to remarry? But I wonder if it needs certifying or also notarization
