We applied for a expedited passport for a new born on 10/28.

passportstatus.state.gov been showing "In Process" ever since.

Reps on 877-487-2778 tells us to just wait. But for how long? It's already been over 6 weeks.

Is it time to write a letter to the senator?

Most of expedites don't work.

What was the reason for expedite request?

It's the process time.

Basically the post offices' offer two options. Regular vs. Expedited. 6-9 weeks vs. 3-5 weeks. For $60 extra.

No updates from their 1-877 hotline. At this rate, I think we will probably either have to wait 6-9 weeks or write letter to state senator office to prod them on. At least on Reddit, lots of folks seems to have very good luck with the senator method. It's quiet frustrating. Which is saying a lot since we've been through a few DS260s and NVC processes :)
