Hi, I know there was someone asking the same question recently but just curious if there are any more recent cases given that the Paris Embassy has been posting reduced wait times.

Anyone working / applying through the US Embassy in Paris, how long after being DQ'd by NVC did you receive your letter with interview date? Also how long after was your interview scheduled at?

This is for IR-1 Spousal Visa - Consular Processing. Thanks in advance!

Our I-140 was approved Feb 23rd 2022. And our file was received by NVC only June 5th, and case number creation was like June 16th. DQ September 28th 2022.

thanks! So now you are waiting to get the interview letter I guess?

We just got our interview scheduled at the US Embassy in Paris.

Timeline: NVC approved our application mid-December and we receive the appointment letter on Jan. 6 2023. Appointment is scheduled in the beginning of February.

Although, we started the whole process in October 2020. We ran into a few issues with the NVC, documents were missing and we had to add an additional sponsor in addition of my husband, plus delays due to the pandemic (NVC review timeline used to be 4 months - now it's less 1 month or so). It took us almost 2 years to get our application approved - lot's of back and forth with the NVC. I'd recommend to add as much information in the comment section when submitting documents to the NVC - they don't seem to really read the submitted documents . Although, NVC timeframe looks now a lot better than what we experienced in 2020 and 2021.

How long did it take for NVC to receive your application and approve your application. Was it also around mid-December?

Hi Deborah

I cannot find the comment area section on NVC. Can you help me find it?

What does the wait time look like after NVC DQ. Filing i-130

Paris is usually one of the quickest consulates - only approx 3-4 months from DQ to interview IIRC. But you can search VJ timelines to give you a better idea.
