Hello,

It's been 23 days that we sent the I-129 to Vermont instead Chicago...my check has not been cached yet and I dont have any info. We dont know if they forward to the right address, or if it's been lost ...We call the #800 yesterday and they can find anything on the system yet. They even told us to wait for 45 days???? It's crazy ...I'm just to depress right now,

I saw one member who did and they cashed her check on 16 days....I'm wondering if anybody is passing for some similar situation..???

PLEASE if anybody did the same mistake I ask u to share with me your experiences...

Thanks

Kev&Fabi

Don't worry about sending the K3 without the NOA1 from the I130. Lots of people have resorted to doing this because of the delay with CSC sending out receipts. It's 100 days since we filed the I130 and still no receipt. If hubby hadn't sent off the I129F without the NOA1, we'd still be waiting to send it now.

This is a long road we're on and I started off feeling as anxious and over-whelmed as you are now... but you reach a point where you just accept the length of time it takes and it does make this journey easier. I was hoping for closure on this by Xmas, but now with the type of delays we see happening I am looking at January or Feb. I know this may be an overly-safe guess (then again, it might be realistic) but I don't want to give myself false hope, so I set a late date and if it comes in earlier then I will be happy. I'll be seeing my hubby once between now and the visa completion, either in Sept for my brother in laws wedding or, if I'm not allowed in the US at that time, my hubby will come over to spend a few weeks at Xmas with me.

I think it's comforting to know you're not going through this alone, everyone on this site has either already gone through this or is in the process of going through it. It's a wonderful support network of people who know exactly how you are feeling. I feel thankful every day that I came across this site.

Kev & Fabi,

I'm not sure if our situation is the same (K-1 visa) but I think so.

Our I-129F was sent to the Missouri Service Center aka National Benefits Center back in June 2006 (sent by our lawyer). It should have been sent to the California Service Center. However, we did receive a NOA1 in July, 2006. We didn't realize that it had been sent to the wrong service center so we kept waiting and waiting and waiting. We even had a "touch" on October 31, 2006. Our petition was never returned nor was it forwarded on to the correct service center. Finally in February, 2007, we found out that it was mailed to the wrong service center and nothing had been done to it. It did however still show pending but no one could seem to locate our file. We were then able to find out that it had been "administratively closed" back in October, 2006 (probably when we had our "touch"). No one ever notified us of this either. We then had to file again and start the process completely over. To this day if I look online or call them on our original petition, they will tell me that it is still pending. No one was able to locate it, however about a month ago, out of nowhere, I received a check in the mail for $170.00 without any explanation. I am assuming it was my original filing fee refunded.

I do feel for you, I know how frustrating the "not knowing" can be. It was a very stressful several months for us when we had to wait and wait and wait and was not able to find anything out.

I certainly hope you do not run into the same problems as we had but I just wanted to share our story. Wishing you the very best.
